とても楽しかった。

友達の中の一人が日本に来たばかりなので花見のこと知らなかった。

これから日本に来る外国人に分かりやすく日本語と英語でご紹介していきたいと思います。

日本では3月末～4月は桜の季節としてご存知でしょうか❓

桜は英語で「cherry blossoms」ですが

近年は海外でも日本語をそのまま英語にした「Sakura」も浸透しています。

でも桜を英語に直訳するだけでは,日本ならではの美しい桜やお花見という文化の魅力が伝わりません。

そこで今回は日本の「桜」や「お花見」を詳しく説明する表現に加え

実際に外国人とお花見を楽しむ際に使える表現を紹介します。

In Japan, the end of March to April is known as cherry blossom season. Cherry blossoms are the English word for「Sakura」, but in recent years, the English translation of the Japanese word “Sakura” has also become popular overseas. However, simply translating Sakura directly into English does not convey the charm of Japan’s beautiful cherry blossoms and the culture of cherry blossom viewing. So, in this article, we will introduce expressions that will give a detailed explanation of Japanese “Sakura” and “Hanami” as well as expressions that you can use when actually enjoying cherry blossom viewing with foreigners.
